Terms and Conditions
1. Risk
Mountain biking is a risk sport. By taking part in a Wild Biking session clients acknowledge and accept the risk of injury. Minor injuries such as cuts, bruises, grazes, sprains and bumps are not uncommon. More serious injuries can occur despite the best attention to safe session design. Wild Biking does not accept liability for injury you may incur; injury you may cause to others or damage or loss to your equipment or equipment hired by you.
2. Your Responsibilities
2.1 Any pre-existing medical conditions and any prior injuries which might be exacerbated by exercise must be made known to Wild Biking on booking so that these factors can be taken full account of in the design of the session.
2.2 Wild Biking contracts to provide a mountain biking session on the understanding that the client has no pre-existing medical condition that would put them at risk by participating. Pre-existing conditions may include high blood pressure, angina, asthma. If in doubt, your doctor should be consulted in advance.
2.3 Appropriate behaviour by the client is an essential element in minimising risk. If the guide is of the opinion that any client’s behaviour is putting themselves or other people at risk then the session will be stopped or the individual excluded from the group.
2.4 Personal accident insurance is not provided by Wild Biking and clients should check whether their own cover is sufficient.
2.5 Clients should arrive with helmet (compulsory) and provide food, drink, appropriate clothing, any accessories and a means of carrying these safely on a bike. Appropriate clothing may include full waterproofs, spare clothing, gloves, eye protection, body armour, depending on the session booked.
2.6 Wild Biking accepts bookings for Under-18s only where they are accompanied on the session by a parent, or other adult authorised by the parent, who accepts responsibility for them throughout.
3. Payment
Payment must be made in advance of the session and the session is only confirmed on receipt of payment. Payment can be by cash or online via Paypal.
4. Cancellation
It may occasionally be the case that circumstances beyond our control force us to cancel a session. Should that happen a full refund will be given.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance of the session, received and acknowledged by Wild Biking, will not incur a cancellation fee. Cancellation less than 24 hours before a session will incur a 50% cancellation fee. If due to inclement weather or other reason, the client wishes to discontinue the session then the 50% charge will apply unless more than half of the session has already taken place when no refund will be due.
5. Complaints
Any dissatisfaction should be reported to Wild Biking as soon as possible, ideally by the end of the session so that the issue can be urgently and thoroughly investigated. We do want you to enjoy your experience!
